Eileen Baca-Penner


Eileen graduated cum laude and with honors from the University of Albuquerque in 1985 with a B.S. in Criminology and an A.S. in Police Science. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University Of New Mexico School Of Law in 1988, being one of the youngest in her graduating class and was admitted to the New Mexico Bar the same year. She initially worked as a prosecutor in the Children’s Court Division of the First Judicial District Attorney’s office and was soon promoted to supervise the Magistrate Court Division. She also acted as second chair for several felony cases. She then joined the Second Judicial District Attorney’s office in their Special Prosecutions division. Shortly thereafter, she joined the NM Public Defender’s office. There she held an operational role, but was soon promoted to Training Director for the Albuquerque office and then supervised a trial sub-team. After doing litigation work for ten years, she supervised the Pre-indictment Programs division. She and her husband moved to New Orleans, Louisiana after her retirement from state government and stayed for three years. Upon moving back to New Mexico, she joined the Rose L. Brand & Associates, P.C.

CONCENTRATIONS: Creditor representation, including foreclosure, bankruptcy, collections, replevin, evictions, Truth in Lending laws, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, business law, and contract law.
